Latest Earthquake 2 July 2009

A moderate earthquake has occurred with magnitude 5.0 on Richter scale in southern Sumatera, Indonesia at 4.51pm on 2 July 2009. The earthquake epicenter is located at 1.2 south latitude and 100.2 east longitude, 456km southwest of Malacca.

Commission of Basic Systems (CBS) Open Programme Area Group (OPAG) Expert Team on Public Weather Services in Support of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (ET/DPM) Meeting
