a) How do I restore to the default setting on the homepage?

b)  The font is too small to read.

d)  I keep getting Javascript error messages.

     You need to ensure that JavaScript is switched on.

2.0 General

a) What is the acronym for Malaysian Meteorological Department?

     The acronym for Malaysian Meteorological Department is MMD.

b)  How to contact MMD Headquarters and the State Meteorological Offices?

     The mailing address, telephone and facsimile numbers for the MMD Headquarters and the State Meteorological Offices can be obtained from the "Contact Us" link at the main menu of our website.

c)  How to relay information/ suggestions/ questions regarding the weather and earthquakes?

     Information, suggestions and questions regarding the weather and earthquakes can be relayed by using our online feedback form from the "Feedback" link at the main menu of our website.

d)  How to get current weather forecasts apart from MMD website?

     Weather forecasts information are available via our mobile application, myCuaca which available from Google Play and Apps Store. Meanwhile, weather forecast segments are broadcasted twice (2) a day through RTM1 Channel, at 8.30 am on Selamat Pagi Malaysia slot and 4.30 pm on Berita Wilayah slot.

e)  How do we obtain Weather Warnings, Sea Warnings, Typhoon Information and Earthquake Information through SMS (short message system) and what is the charge for every message received?

     For the above information, please refer to "SMS Service" section in MMD website main page. Every SMS received will be charged by the telecommunication service provider.

f)  How can we obtain information on meteorology for the purpose of general publishing or journalism purposes?

     Please contact our officers at the Corporate Communication Unit for these purposes or email korporat@met.gov.my

g)  What is the procedure to apply for data and meteorological information and what are the charges imposed?

     Applications for data and meteorological information can be made by using the online form in the "E-Services" link at the "Home" menu of MMD website. Charges for every data is stated in the Fee Schedule for       Services (Malaysian Meteorological Department Fees Order 2010) in the "Services" menu of MMD website.

h)  How to apply for Industrial Training in MMD?

     Application can be made via online form of "Industrial Training Application" from the "Public" menu on top right section of MMD website.
