INTRODUCTION
The Malaysian Meteorologica Department Sabah Branch is responsible for
managing and operating the observation and forecasting program in the
State of Sabah. Regional Forecast Office is located in Kota Kinabalu
International Airport and operates round the clock. There are four major
observation stations in Sabah which are Kota Kinabalu, Kudat, Sandakan
and Tawau as well as 60 rainfall and temperature stations operated
voluntarily by other government agencies and private concerns.
Functions
Kota Kinabalu Regional Meteorological Office provides the following
meteorological and geophysical services of high quality to fulfill the
social-economic and military needs of Sabah State:
