Latest Earthquake 30 June 2008

A strong earthquake has occurred with magnitude 6.7 on Richter scale in south of Sandwich Islands region, South Africa at 2.18 pm on 30 June 2008. The earthquake epicenter is located at 58.1 south latitude and 22.2 west longitude, 12176 km from southwest of Johor Bahru, Johor.


Report On Heavy Rainfall That Caused Floods In Malacca on 22 April 2008

Strong convergence of southeasterly and easterly winds over southern Straits of Malacca resulted in thunderstorms and heavy rains during the night on the  22 April 2008 and early morning on the next day. This factor brought floods to several areas in Malacca especially over Melaka Tengah and Alor Gajah districts.
