In alignment with the Government's digitalization initiative and the Open by Default principle, MET Malaysia introduced the MET API Web Services (https://api.met.gov.my) in 2014 as a real-time data-sharing platform that is accurate, fast, and relevant. All open datasets provided through this platform are accessible for integration and reuse by the public, government agencies, and private entities across various applications. These datasets have the potential to drive significant impact on economic development, social innovation, and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, they serve as a key enabler for citizen-centric digital government initiatives, enhancing service delivery quality, transparency, and interoperability across sectors.
